  8. Since the OS version 2.1 Amiga has had an unique feature called 
  9. localization. Localization is the process by which software dynamically 
  10. adapts to different locales. A locale is made up of a set of attributes 
  11. describing a language, a set of cultural and lingual conventions, a 
  12. physical location, etc.

  14. Localization is accomplished through a locale.library which utilizes 
  15. language drivers, the country database and catalog files. An application 
  16. using the locale.library can be easily localized on any language with one 
  17. of the several utilities available for that purpose. But what about 
  18. programs not using the locale.library - the old ones? Can they be 
  19. translated?

  21. The answer has been so far a strict 'NO', but because of BFLocalizer 
  22. (Brute Force Localizer), we may now answer 'YES'.

  24. BFLocalizer modifies binary program files, or any type of files, directly 
  25. (comp. catalog files) by replacing the old text strings with new ones - 
  26. with the translated ones. You cannot have the advanced locale.library 
  27. services but at least you can use the program with your own language.
